1. Venice at the first sight

As any first time visitor in Venice you’re eager to grasp the city’s ambiance, although if your time is short, you can miss this. Join our tour then, and in a 3 hour leisure walk get introduced to our city.
Start in a grand style walking through ‘the piazza’, San Marco square and get acquainted with Venice’s greatest buildings, the Doge's Palace past center of government and the 11th C byzantine Basilica. Let’s get inside and admire its stunning decoration of ancient marbles and shimmering golden mosaics.
And continue later off the beaten track to experience Venice's unique urban texture made of narrow alleyways, small campi and picturesque canals. Still, be ready to admire on the way a series of imposing palaces and impressive churches and hear about the people who brought those alive.
End the tour with a great view of the Grand Canal from the top of the Rialto Bridge, just a few steps away from the market area.

 

About this tour

This is a walking tour focusing on Saint Mark's Square and its most significant monuments, Saint Mark's Church interiors, including a walk through the Castello district within less touristy areas, and the Rialto Bridge with a view of the Gran Canal.


Availability: every Monday and Thursday from 2pm to 5pm

N.B.: Churches dress code requires covered shoulders; no short or skirts above the knee; backpacks must be left in the church deposit.
